Position Number: 1 Position Type: Career Closing Date: Thursday, November 30, 2023 The FBI's Technical Hazards Response Unit (THRU) is looking for a Forensic Operations Specialist. Forensic Operations Specialists provide health and safety, evidence access, and logistical support necessary to collect evidence in a variety of unsafe environments. This includes crime scenes involving hazardous materials, treacherous or physically inaccessible locations, confined spaces, and underwater operations. Applicants must be an NREMT-Paramedic, and experience is preferred in technical rescue or hazardous materials disciplines. Salary is dependent upon experience. Initial hiring range is GS-11/12 with potential promotion to GS-13. Applicants must live or be willing to relocate to within 50 miles of Fredericksburg, VA.
