Position Number: ALS position Pay Rate: 0 to 0 (Salary) Closing Date: Friday, August 20, 2010 Floyd County, Virginia is accepting applications for full time and flex-time hourly ALS provider positions with Floyd County Emergency Medical Services. These positions will cover 8, 16 and 24 hour shifts on week days, weekends and holidays. To be considered, an applicant should have current certification at Intermediate or Paramedic level and experience in the pre-hospital setting. Candidates must hold a current Class 2 EVOC certification or higher. Candidates holding ACLS, PALS or PEPP certifications are preferred. Interested candidates may submit a Commonwealth of Virginia employment application, along with copies of their current EMS certifications. A Department of Motor Vehicles record must be supplied by the applicant on the day of his/her interview. Successful applicants will be required to undergo a criminal history background check.
